Lets start this off, I already had an Ab Energizer when I bought the Ab Gymnic. I've had the Ab Gymnic for several years. The Ab Energizer is/was that Ab belt that was supposed to simulate doing sit ups by giving you an electric impulse. I used the Ab Energizer for a few weeks and noticed some minor results, so I figured I would get another so I didn't have to transport the thing back and forth. Problem was I didn't want to spend the then expensive price for another Ab Energizer. I stumbled across this alternative at a store for a small fraction of the cost of the Ab Energizer (about £12). So I figured what the heck. I tried it, the first one broke in a week, and produced no noticeable anything. I was a tad discouraged but figured I'd try another, so I exchanged it.

Something was definitely wrong with the first, the second was darn amazing. While the Ab Energizer produced only a vague feeling that you'd actually done anything and little if any results, after using the Ab Gymnic you'd feel your abs the next morning as if you had actually been doing sit ups.

I learned there are a few variations of this one, the one that has the plastic like metal colored contacts is the one I have, unlike the aluminium foil type versions this stuff lasts a long time. It also produces next to no discomfort on the skin.

Flash forward. I've owned it to years, I still use it, and it does work. The Ab Energizer long since retired back to its box.

It uses less batteries, it was cheaper (though now you can find both for the same price), it does enough so you actually know you did something, it has more workout routines, it produces better results, its more comfortable.

Had this been the nationally advertised unit as opposed to the Ab Energizer these things would still be marketed heavily.
